The problem

A brand that lives online still has to show up in a room. FlauntBrush needed a physical presence for events and retail: banners big enough to read across a venue, a retractable stand that travels and sets up in seconds, and packaging that matches the on-screen brand exactly. Large-format is unforgiving, and what looks crisp on a laptop can fall apart at 10 feet wide if the file isn’t built for it.

The approach

I carried the same FlauntBrush identity into print and built each piece for its output. The banners were set up at their real trim (a 10’×4’ and a 2’×5’), with artwork scaled and resolved for viewing distance rather than screen pixels, so the type and the brand marks stay sharp at size. The retractable banner pairs the brand with a clear attach/detach instructional and a QR code that ties the physical piece back to the site.

Production detail

The work is in making the file survive the format: correct bleed and safe margins for the banner hardware, artwork resolution matched to the print width and viewing distance, and a color build that holds the FlauntBrush palette across substrate and large-format ink rather than drifting from the on-screen brand. Files were preflighted before output so nothing slipped through: no low-res placement, no stray spot color, no too-tight margin. The packaging carried the same controls at the opposite scale, where small-format trim and registration matter just as much.

The banner was output on a Fujifilm Acuity P20 flatbed to a 10’ × 4’ canvas substrate, finished with four grommets and built with an 0.125” bleed so trim and hang stayed clean on site.

Outcome

FlauntBrush showed up in the room: the retractable banner and product table ran at events, and the packaging shipped with the product, the same brand on-screen and in print. The banner and table ran at a StandSmallSTL pop-up market hosted at Bluewood Brewery.
