About
Designer with
a technical focus.
I'm a graphic and interactive designer with a BFA and six years in the work: three running my own freelance practice, and three on the floor of a commercial print shop. That mix taught me both halves of the job, how to build a brand from a blank page, and how to make it survive everything between the comp and the finished piece.
I work across brand identity, illustration, layout, motion, and interactive. A logo and type system one week, an After Effects sequence or an in-browser product configurator the next. The through-line is range with rigor: I take a project from first sketch to a shipped, on-brand deliverable without handing it off halfway.
What sets the work apart is the production knowledge behind it. I follow a file through preflight, color, imposition, variable data, and press, so it doesn't just look right on screen, it prints and ships right. When a workflow has a hole in it, I write software to close it. That's how rustybara (an open-source Rust prepress toolkit) and a set of in-browser product customizers came to exist: real production problems, solved in code.
